A Six-week project to upgrade a busy North-east road has started.
The pounds1.2 million project is on part of the A90 Fraserburghto Peterhead road, near the St Fergus gas terminal.
The carriageway is set to be resurfaced and some of the junctionswill be widened, as well as improvements to the drainage system.
Work will generally start at 7am and last for about 12 hours.Temporary traffic signals and a 30mph limit will be in place.
During certain parts of the operation, a convoy van will be usedto escort vehicles through the works at around 10mph.
The job has been planned following consultation withAberdeenshire Council and the police and is being carried out byEnnstone Thistle for Transport Scotland. A spokesman said: "Due tothe nature of the works, delays are expected, although every effortwill be made to minimise these delays.
"We would advise motorists to plan their journeys accordingly."
During the works, junctions to Bylands and Rattray will be closedfor resurfacing, although these will be shut over separate weekends.
