Michael Battiste and Jordan Hoerl scored to lead Niskayuna to a 2-0 victory over Shaker in boys' Class A soccer sectionals Wednesday at Niskayuna.

Goalie Sean Trask needed to make only one save to record the shutout.

In the other Class A game, Mike Norris and Matt Amato each scored a pair of goals to lead Guilderland (11-6-1) to a 5-0 victory over Albany.

Guilderland will play next at Niskayuna on Friday at 7 p.m. CLASS B Mohonasen 5, Cairo-Durham 4: Mohonasen won in sudden death on penalty kicks to top Cairo-Durham (9-8-1). Peter Sgueglia scored four goals for the Mighty Warriors and goalie Scott Bergen tallied 22 saves.
