FED: Aust aidworkers sighted but whereabouts unknown
CARE Australia believes two Australian aid workers missing in Yugoslavia are still alive.
But they hold grave fears for the safety of STEVE PRATT and PETER WALLACE who disappeared
some time after being questioned at a border post near Croatia last Wednesday afternoon.
CARE Australia's emergency coordinator BRIAN DOOLIN says the two men made three telephone
calls from the border post at Lipovac at the Croatian border with Yugoslavia.
There was also an unconfirmed sighting of the men sitting in their car at the same border
post 24 hours later.
It's believed the pair had separated from a diplomatic convoy heading towards the Hungarian
border, and were heading in UN-marked vehicles towards the Croatian border.
