OTTAWA -- Canada's Health Department completed a retreat from a stink of its own making Friday, abandoning a much-mocked proposal to ban cheese made from unpasteurized milk.
The decision came after a committee of scientific experts found no proof that anyone in Canada has fallen ill from eating cheese made from raw milk.
